Martin Buday

I'm actually putting Martin Buday's photographs up here as an example of something I don't like. Here is a guy who recieved an MFA in photography, and his pictures are completely bland. He is the very reason why there are so many people out there that say "well all you have to do is just point and shoot, anyone could become a photographer". I mean this in the negative sense of course. Its like this guy just walks around and anything that comes along he'll just point and shoot, he doesn't have anything dynamic going on in his pictures. Not to say the scenery itself is nice, but he just doesn't DO anything! No angle treatment, no color enhancement, no effort to give a sense of depth of field, it doesn't even seem like he really bothered to properly frame his shot! Its a good example of having a nice camera, and nice lens, website knowledge and overall media education, but just no vision. I don't know, maybe its just me, but this guy is so boring.

Glamour photography is another thing that I would find fun to do, right after musician photography. It can be fun and interesting, personally i think it can also be pretty ridiculous and it takes itself too seriously. Shiho Hakva takes pictures of beautiful women in high fashion walking down a crummy street. Everything is in high contrast all the time, and the lens blurs everything out only to focus on the subject. Funny thing is is that ive always wanted to do a shoot like this with my girlfriend similar to what Shiho has done. She focuses intensely on the subject and blurs out everything else, it makes the picture more dynamic and all around more beautiful.

Eric Warner
I think Eric Warner is a seriously talented photographer, most definitely going places. He is sort of at the area I want to be at now, but the only problem is is that its just so damn expensive. His works I've seen are at a professional level, theyre clean, theyre composited well, they're not overly photoshopped or under-worked. His black and whites are beautiful are the contrast is perfect, and I'm sure I will see his stuff more in the future.
